ABSTRACT
In this article the current state of development of the market of the CNG vehicles was described.
Then, the economic and ecological aspects of using this fuel and the factors of its safe exploitation were characterized. Based on that, in the article were presented the current propositions of
activities of the European Union administrative organs, which propagate using these alternative
fuels for vehicles, including the natural gas.
Finally, the attention was paid to possibilities of using the natural gas as a fuel in vehicles used
in mountain and spa resorts.
