ABSTRACT
Even small streams may cause severe flooding. The evaluation of the safety of people and objects
in the area of a watercourse is related to modelling of flood zones. The area of potential flood
zones is calculated on the basis of a Digital Terrain Model (DTM). This paper presents interpolation methods for creating DTMs based on land surveying data. The result of sample modelling
is compared with selected interpolation methods.
